Editors Notes

This episode has a lot of cool easter eggs.

Diane Carrol

I referenced Negroes with Guns by Robert Willimas this was good read and highly suggest it. I tried to tie the idea of self-protection in the negro community using a very educated and quick whitted Lead Juror. I used Diane Corrol as a reference for the Lead Jury and wanted to explore possibly using her as a “night nurse” character for the SOAH.

The next was JK Simmons. always enjoyed him as an actor and thought his look fit what I wanted for the prosecuting attorney. I spent an evening gathering photo references to draw him and  was finally able to get what I wanted. I went to work the next day and as fate would have it… JK SIMMONS walked right past me as I entered my office. They were using the area where I used to work for filming a movie that he was cast. I was star-struck! and of course, I didn’t have my art tablet to show him my work. But we will meet someday at conventions or just in passing and I will have a great story to tell him.

The last was Stan Lee. Its no secret that I am a Marvel Comics FanBoy. And I enjoy how the MCU placed Stan as a cameo in the films. I looked to Stan as a mentor and inspiration. His works defined what I do! His stories inspired me to want to make comics. We will miss you. EXCELSIOR!
