This layout and composition is hommage to Charlie Adlard. I started enjoying how Charlie would use these extreme close-ups in The Walking Dead. At first I didn’t like Charlie’s work but as I started becoming a TWD fan his art became more powerful. I noticed that his strong points in mood and emotion, not so much in his drawing but in the spirit of his art style. Charlie is now one of my top 10 favorite comic book artists.
