Tofur Taylor was a college student at Steel City University and a roommate with Nasim Singh. Tofur discovered that Nasim was working as a lab assistant to Dr. Emily Werner and VX73 research. Knowing the Vx73 is a precursor ingredient in the street drug Hype Seeing an opportunity to become a pusher, he bullied Nasim into creating a batch for sale to Adam the Dark. Unfortunately, the drug deal went poorly and resulted in Tofur’s murder. With little answers about the black college student’s death, the Steel City black community became outraged, increasing tensions between them and the Steel City Police Department.
